Nef Lewis brings precision, creativity, and a calm, client-focused presence to every grooming experience.
Nef Lewis’s journey into barbering began at just 12 years old in Brooklyn, when a group of friends needed haircuts and could not afford them. Believing his natural ability to draw would translate easily into cutting hair, they purchased clippers from Rite Aid and trusted Nef with the job.
The results were not exactly what they hoped for, but the experience sparked something lasting. What began as a childhood experiment quickly became a passion, and Nef never looked back.
He soon became known as the neighborhood barber, cutting hair for friends and locals while refining his eye for shape, balance, and detail. With mentorship from a master barber named Tim, Nef spent years apprenticing, studying the craft, and developing the discipline that would shape his career.
Raised in Brooklyn with family roots in Grenada, Nef brings a laid-back personality and grounded presence to the chair. For him, barbering has never been only about the haircut. It is about connection, conversation, and meeting people from every walk of life.
Nef is especially drawn to fades because of their detail, precision, gradients, and transitions. They allow his artistic side to come forward while delivering clean, tailored results for each client.
Outside of the shop, Nef is devoted to his wife, his two children, and giving back to his community. He lives by the motto, “Each one, teach one,” carrying that spirit into both his craft and his relationships.
